Do you offer coverage on early release days, professional days, or holidays?
We are open for all early release days and offer special coverage on select holidays. We charge an additional fee of $10 for 1 PM releases and $15 for 12:15 PM releases. We charge an additional fee of $40 for professional days or select holidays.
Do you offer coverage on snow days?
If school is cancelled due to inclement weather, we will decide by 8:30 AM whether it is safe to open, and accept students between 9 and 10 AM. We will charge an additional fee of $40 for the day.
Do you provide snacks for the students?
No, we do not provide food for students due to the numerous life threatening allergies and cost. We ask that parents leave a labeled individual supply of healthy snacks at AEC for their student. All nuts, peanuts, and nut butters are strictly prohibited at AEC.
Do the students get time outside?
Yes, we frequently take students to the Ottoson fields for sports and games as well as trips to the nearby playground between Robbins and School streets. Please specify if outdoor time is a priority over homework or enrichment classes for your students so we can plan accordingly.
Can my student walk home from AEC?
Yes, at anytime all that needs to happen is that parents and students need to sign a permission form allowing their student to leave AEC on their own at a specified time. Students must inform staff when they are leaving and are only allowed to depart at the prearranged time.
What if I need to add a day?
If you need to add a day of coverage at the last minute, please check with us on availability and if we have space, your student is welcome to attend and we will bill you $25 for the day.
When can I register for enrichment programs for the fall?
Registration for enrichment programs will happen the first week of the fall session.
